Day 71-Full moon…landscape…and a new hair style

Weight: 162.5
Starting weight: 184

Happy Easter!!  Hope you had a very blessed day with your family and church friends today!

It’s 4:00 in the morning and I have a major case of insomnia. I even took something to try and help me sleep but here I am wide awake. I normally have zero trouble sleeping. My guess is the full moon that is out. My grandma says she has trouble sleeping when the moon is in this phase too. Maybe that is why I have felt kind of down and out this week. Full moons do strange things to people.

I’m off for a few days and I am so glad. I haven’t had any off time since last year. My parents are coming up tomorrow to help me set some plants out in my landscape. We are also putting some lighting in there too. I think it will look good when it’s finished. I love spring when everything turns green and lush. I am not a wintertime kind of girl 🙂

Lisa and I walked 3.5 miles Saturday shaving 2 minutes off our time last week. This week I am planning to incorporate more weights into my routine. I am no longer taking boot camp as my trainer got another job. I’m super proud of her! Luckily I took enough of her classes to know what I need to do to get in shape.

Today is Easter but the Easter Bunny won’t be making a stop by my place. When I was growing up the Easter Bunny always brought Chris and I a big basket of goodies. I sure miss those days. Life was so much simpler then. When you are young you get in a hurry to grow up and when you become an adult all you want to do is go back and start over. I loved my childhood. My adulthood not so much.

A few weeks ago our talent coach made a stop by to visit with the on-air talent. He told me I need to play my looks up a little more by making a few hair and makeup tweaks. I went in for some highlights and a cut. I came out looking like a 70’s actress. Ha! I call it my Farrah Fawcet look though I am certain no one will mistake me for a sex symbol 🙂 once I had a chance to make some adjustments I liked my new style. I’m going to have to practice the look to see if I can pull it off. If I can I may let it be my new Tv look.

Here’s a preview…

    • Thank you Debbie-I don’t have the hairstyle down just yet. It is going to take some practice but hopefully I will get it soon. My hair has been straight for so long it has forgotten it can curl ha!
